Governor's Room
Room 716, Story of the History Museum
This room is to show the interior layout of the high-ranking officials such as the Governor during the Japanese occupation, and it is also the only room in the traditional Japanese style that the hotel still preserves.
The room is laid with Japanese tatami rice, and there is a coffee table for making tea on the bed.
At that time, because the hotel was for entertaining senior officials such as the Governor, the rooms occupied by the exclusive Governor and other senior officials were equipped with bathroom facilities, and the bathtubs were made from cypress wood. This room is also the only room with a cypress bath tub.
